Paloma Hernandez, the President and CEO of Urban Health Plan was elected Board Chair-Elect of the National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc. (NACHC) at the 2021 NACHC Annual Convention and Community Health Institute (CHI) in Orlando, Florida. She will serve a two-year term. The position puts her in line to serve as the Chair of NACHC.

NACHC serves as the leading national advocacy organization in support of community-based health centers and the expansion of health care access for the medically underserved and uninsured. It represents more than 1300 community health centers across the United States that share the mission of improving access to care.

#85. Miles Burnett

Executive Director, Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District

In 2019, after two years as director of communications for New York City Council Member Andrew Cohen, Miles Burnett left to become the first full-time executive director of the Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District and be Tomas Ramos’ campaign manager in the Democratic primary for New York’s 15th Congressional District. When COVID-19 arrived mid-campaign, Ramos and Burnett created the Bronx Rising Initiative to distribute resources to the community and, later, launched an awareness and door-knocking campaign to encourage Bronxites to get vaccinated.
