About Southern Boulevard BID
The Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District (SoBo BID) promotes the growth, vitality, and visibility of the premiere commercial corridor in the Hunts Point & Longwood community. We work with and advocate for the small businesses and property owners on Southern Boulevard between 163rd St & 167th St while engaging the South Bronx community through direct outreach and diverse programming to generate local economic growth.
The Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District is a 501(c)3 public-private partnership governed by a Board of Directors and derives the majority of its revenue from an annual assessment on all real property located within the boundaries of the BID. Members of the BID include property owners, businesses, hotels, restaurants, retailers, cultural and non-profit institutions, public officials and residents.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jay Medina, Sr.
Javier Medina, Sr. is an experienced community development professional dedicated to enhancing New York City neighborhoods. As Executive Director of the Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District, he leads efforts to improve the South Bronx through business development, partnerships, and urban operations.
Formerly the Director of Ground Operations for the Third Avenue BID, Javier implemented programs that significantly reduced illegal dumping and improved public health coordination, showcasing his commitment to creating vibrant and safe urban spaces.
